Carriage light on two wheels, two poles and rounded cover of canvas or sail. It is mounted on a coil suspension. The front part remains closed by a board, while at the back there is a door and generally a canvas, or glass. Its design allows carrying four to six people who sit in two seats, located on the sides. It has a step, at the rear to allow passengers to get in and out, may have one at the front for the driver. The driver's seat is similar to a small table upholstered with leather that is attached to the joint of the right pole and the box. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, Ireland became famous with a cart called jaunting car already that served for passenger transport and which is still used today to take tourists for a ride.
