TARS Pebble time / time steel charging base
thingiverse
This is a Pebble Time charger based on the TARS machine from 'Interstellar', which I greatly enjoyed. As I wanted to create a custom charger for myself, I thought: why not give it a try? To assemble it, you will need two M3x25 screws and nuts. Currently, I'm using it with my Pebble Time Steel watch, keeping in mind that the Pebble Time and Time Steel share the same port location. A hollow anti-slip system allows the watch to be retained on the charger platform (which helps keep the watch firmly in place) and is located where TARS's screen is situated. To accommodate closed straps, I trimmed one of TARS's legs, and also reduced its size for better stability. Whenever possible, I aimed to maintain the squared shapes of TARS. This design is moveable and configurable - just insert the magnetic cable head inside and conceal the rest within the backside of the left 'leg' of TARS. If you wish, use a marker to highlight the 'TARS' text in relief on the model's left leg (though I had to place it on the right 'leg' for visibility during charging). If you don't want this charger to resemble TARS, simply refrain from printing its right 'leg'. For an even sleeker look, you could use silver-colored plastic; however, I chose phosphorescent plastic for a different effect.
