Tarp Hook

Tarp Hook

thingiverse

Handy and very printable small hook designed to fit in a 12mm (1/2 inch) wide tarp grommet hole. Just a handy hook when you want something nicer than just a screw or nail poking out. You can angle it however you want. Tightening the screw will prettty much lock it into place.Once in place you can easily hook and unhook the tarp.Hung a tarp in front of my porch. Held up to pretty decent wind no problem. Surprisingly strong. Does not unhook by itself when tarp is yanked by wind, but easy to do by hand. Slide buckle over the round butt of the hook and then up. Hang buckle ring edge on protrusion and swing around again to hook it on. Even unhooked the top using a stick, no problem.Fits countersunk wood screws with 8mm wide head (5/16th"), just try stuff out. I'm sure you got some laying around that fits nice and snug like shown in picture. You should be able to print this with no supports or raft. Print as illustrated with hook part facing down (It has a flat surface and angles are printer friendly then). Space them as shown in illustration for making a bunch at once. Uses about a gram of plastic if made solid. Can of course be used to hang other stuff than tarps.
