The Turnigy Talon Hexacopter frame from Hobby King is an excellent lightweight and strong carbon fiber frame, but it wasn't designed for payload support. I created a mount that's easy to print, incorporates landing skids, and keeps batteries below the frame for stability. Using 16mm carbon tube legs (cut to 170mm), 3/8" wooden dowels for the tarot mount and landing skids, I printed this in taulman bridge nylon which is strong enough. To prevent rotation, I added a few drops of CA in the joints. In operation with 3DR 850kv motors and 10x4.7 SF props, it draws around 19A on hover using a 5000mAh 3s pack.
