Tarmo3 Mods

So I've been working on building my Tarmo3 for a few weeks now and have come up with some changes that I think will improve its performance. Initially, I encountered issues with the axles printing about 2mm too long, so I decided to redesign the swing arms to be 2mm longer. This modification should help alleviate any potential problems. Next, I struggled to find a suitable location for mounting my battery, so I created a custom battery tray that integrates seamlessly into the rear diff housing lid. With the added weight of the battery, I realized that my initial shocks just wouldn't cut it, so I redesigned the rear strut support and incorporated it into the rear diff lid as well. To ensure stability, I doubled up on the shock system. In addition to these upgrades, I also fabricated a bumper to prevent the battery from sliding off the back of the vehicle. All of my modifications are printed in Taulman 910 Nylon, which provides excellent durability and strength. To secure the bumper, I used M3 inserts in the diff lid. Although KrisCubed's original design was intended for PLA printing, I haven't worked with that material in years, and ABS just wouldn't have been sufficient for my needs. That's why I opted for Taulman 910 Nylon instead. The drive train gearing is also printed in nylon, except for the drive shafts, which are printed in TPU. I used KrisCubed's updated design for the Tarmo4 without the torque damper, and I'm excited to see how it performs. To provide added flexibility, I designed a tray to hold my 65A ESC, which should allow me to swap out the motor for a larger one if needed. If anyone is interested in this design, please let me know. I'm also working on a separate project - a tray to hold the RX and antenna, as well as the on/off switch. I'll be happy to share this design with you once it's complete. A huge thank you goes out to KrisCubed for his initial design; I'm looking forward to seeing his Tarmo4 in action.
