Target Lock and ship idenifier (X-Wing TMG)
thingiverse
The ring serves as both a ship marker and an origin lock indicator, allowing players to replace "I attack ship 3" with "I attack the green ship." When the green-marked ship locks onto its target, the player tosses the green target lock indicator next to the enemy ship, just like they always do. This basic system enables quick identification of ships and their target locks. Two sizes are available for large and small ships: simply print them in different colors and you're good to go. The ring remains on the ship's base, acting as an identifier that lets players use color-matching target locks on enemy ships as usual. No need to add number markers to each ship since the color rings do the job. With this system, gameplay becomes smoother and more intuitive. Update: 12/06/17 Added a second version of the target lock indicator
