Targe high-poly 3D model now available for deployment in Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), gaming platforms, and other cutting-edge apps. Dating back to the 13th century onwards, the targe was designed as an early multi-purpose shield, sporting a lightweight circular shape with similarities to a buckler. Scottish/Highlanders often employed this type of shield. A sturdy cowhide layer has been nailed into place for reinforcement. Customizable decorations are possible; the provided image features a Celtic-inspired design. All 3D mesh files come in OBJ, FBX, and DAE formats. The model also includes PBR textures in UE format (Normal, Base Color, MetalRoughAO) and Unity format (Normal, Base Color, Metallic, Roughness, AO) for each individual mesh element. The following features make this 3D model an ideal addition to any project: • Low-poly count and game-readiness (3210 faces, 2432 vertices) • UV maps feature no overlapping areas • Fully prepared for rigging and character animations • Supported by both Unity and Unreal Engine Package options • Textures provided in 512, 1K, 2K, and 4K resolutions to meet game engine requirements Before distribution, this model and all related textures underwent thorough testing within Unity and Unreal Engine. Images of the targe have been previewed in Marmoset Toolbag for optimal quality. Those interested in more models from our library are welcome to reach out.
