Targaryen Dragon Symbol from Game of Thrones
thingiverse
This was a fast 20-minute project in OpenSCAD, importing a House Targaryen symbol and turning it into a plaque. I wanted to try out color swapping based on layer with my Prusa i3 MK2S and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I really loved how it turned out, but had to print two of them - on the first one, I got the layer change wrong and it printed the first layer of red on top of the black, so I didn't get the contrast I was hoping for. I've included the STL file for the thing, it's big because I used a high-resolution image and I wanted to print it large - the one in the picture is 146mm in diameter. I've also included the G-code I used to print it, which should work on an Original Prusa i3 Mk2S using PLA. Of course, you can use the STL file to slice however you want, but the G-code already includes the M600 for layer change at the right place and the black portion is optimized to print at 0.25mm before switching to 0.1mm for the dragon's detail.
