This 3D model was originally developed with Sketchup 7 and then converted to various other 3D formats. The native format is .skp, while 3ds Max scene is based on 2016 version and rendered using Vray 3.00. This TARDIS design drew inspiration from the Hexagon-shaped TARDIS Control Room & Console Model. The more I thought about the TARDIS, the clearer it became that the console & control room needed a new housing, one that would deviate significantly from its predecessor while retaining its shape, like that of the Public Call Police Box. I hope you agree that the faint outline of the Police Box is still visible, yet the radical design takes shape as an 8-sided Stepped Octagon. Interestingly, 8 mirrors the Time Lord DNA and matches the Seal Of Rassilon's time-worn design. Doors open towards you before sliding out to the left & right. To accommodate height differences from the ground, a smart light ramp extends beneath the front doors for easy access. Conversely, the rear doors do not open; they're decorative only. Inside this unique TARDIS is a steel inner panel designed to highlight which side faces forward, as seen through the hexagon-shaped lantern added as part of the bold design concept. Overall, there's an all-new experimental take on this iconic design that combines traditional shapes with an exciting modern twist – featuring a cutting-edge keyhole lock on its new doors, all the result of serious thought and experimentation put into making something truly exceptional.
