TARDIS Run board game - Print in parts board
thingiverse
Many of the Doctor's most feared opponents have teleported into the TARDIS, stealing the last copy of the Black Scroll of Rassilon from the TARDIS library. The Doctor's past regenerations are now in place to defend the school against those who would claim the scroll. Whoever finds the scroll and escapes first wins the game of chance and strategic decision-making known as TARDIS Run. Inspired by classic games such as Backgammon, Parchisi, and ancient Egyptian Senet, this new game is a test of luck and cunning. The game board is cleverly designed to fold into a compact carrying case that holds everything needed for play inside. For those with smaller build platforms or who prefer to scale up the board, it prints in multiple parts that can be assembled after printing. Those with larger build areas can opt for the print-in-one version of the game, available at Pinshape. Rules for the game are included both as images and PDFs. Players should print the image at 300DPI or use the PDF to cut out the rules and fold them in fourths to fit neatly inside the board case. For best results, it's recommended to print the board with the charm attached, so the light on top is properly aligned. Custom Doctor and monster pawns can be used to add a personal touch to gameplay. Available at Pinshape, these 3D-printed game pieces offer endless possibilities for creativity and style. To create an exciting contrast between players, it's suggested that the doctor pawns are printed in one color (green), while the monster pawns are printed in another color (red). The white paddles should be printed in white, and the black paddle should be printed in black. Assemble the game board parts with spare lengths of 1.8mm filament. To do this, attach the top and bottom pieces to the sides first, before assembling the sides together. A commentary video explaining how to assemble the game can be found on YouTube. TARDIS Run is also available for purchase through the 3D Printing Professor's Etsy store.
