TARDIS Raspberry PI 3 case remixed
thingiverse
I made some modifications/remixes from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2430122 to create a version that suits me. I'm using a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B with two USB sticks, one SLC stick is 72 mm long, making it 18 mm taller. The cutout for the network cable was moved to the power connector - it looks better now. You can detach the top to access the connectors. The Files: 1. Ventilation Base: The TARDIS stands on this base; I attached it with hot glue to make it removable. 2. Fan Holder: For a 30x30x10 mm fan, attach it to part 1 when you see where the network cable should be. 3. Lower Body: Use M3x25 or M3x30 screws with nuts - it makes it easier to mount the board. 4. Upper Body: Attach it to part 3 when the board is mounted. 5. Main Top: The top of the TARDIS, perfect for a 5 mm 120° LED; I attached the LED with hot glue. 6. Signs: Four pieces - you attach them to part 5 (I printed the letters in white). 7. Top Connector: Press it into part 5 and add some glue if you like. 8. TARDIS Hat: Attach it on top of part 5 when you've mounted the LED; print it fine. Remarks: The fan works at 12 Volts, but it also works well at 5 Volts - use pin 2 or pin 4 for 5V and pin 6 for GND. The LED is connected to pin 39 (GND) and pin 40 (GPIO21) with a serial resistor (I used 470 Ohm). To bring the activity LED to GPIO21, add "dtoverlay=pi3-act-led,gpio=21" to /boot/config.txt.
