A Low Poly Tarantula Model Designed to Evoke Fear in VR Environments. This model is specifically intended for use in Virtual Reality settings as a psychological stimulus, meant to elicit fear responses in users participating in studies. Its design draws inspiration from the Goliath Birdeater (Theraphosa Blondi), which holds the record as the largest known spider species, notorious for its venomous fangs capable of piercing human skin. This particular characteristic makes it a compelling choice for inducing fear in those who encounter this model within VR environments. The design intentionally omits some leg hairs due to the low resolution typically found inside any Head-Mounted Display (HMD), but these details may be added later for aesthetic purposes.
