Unfortunately I snapped my acrylic Y carriage plate while using a bit of force to dislodge a part from the print bed. As it turns out, I didn't have an aluminum plate on hand, so I had no other choice but to create a printable alternative. I usually design Y carriage plates with three leveling points only, as attempting to use four points can inevitably result in twisting the heatbed. Additionally, I prefer a three-roller drive system because it's impossible to achieve equal pressure on each wheel with four wheels. In contrast, three wheels work perfectly fine. The one that stands out from the rest is the adjustable roller. Less is more in this case. I recommend rotating the heatbed so that the wiring ends up on the board side. In my opinion, this Y carriage design is a great choice for DIY enthusiasts looking to build their own 3D printer. The recommended heatbed screw spacing is 205mm. Here's what you'll need to print: * Printed parts * 9x M3x8mm self-tapping screws (for use with plastic) * Recycled original wheels and hardware (minus one) Enjoy building your DIY 3D printer!
