Dual Y rails for TEVO Tarantula. This modification is not labor-intensive, it mainly involves adding components and reusing the stock acrylic bed to reduce print time and materials. The original X frame remains intact, ensuring your spider won't transform into a freaky creature when using this mod. Assembly can take as little as 30 minutes if you don't keep dropping screws. This upgrade leaves plenty of room for further enhancements. You should be able to utilize your current belt tensioner and motor mount. I use MGN12H rail blocks, with the rail length being 350mm. Any length should work provided you have enough space to install base supports. (4) 2040 100mm Aluminum Extrusion [can be printed with ABS but I recommend aluminum for strength and durability] (2) MGN12 Linear Rail w/ MGH12H block Print Settings: > 0.2 Layer Height > At least 1.6mm Shell to increase overall machine strength > At least 40% infill >No raft Use photos for installation details. 10/8/2018 I've been using this mod for about four months now, and I haven't encountered any issues at all. In addition to the dual Y rails mod, I've also installed a dual Z rails mod on my TEVO Tarantula. The print results are fantastic! Extremely durable, allowing me to spend less time maintaining the machine and enjoy my 3D printing adventure even more.
