Tarantula Hide (T Hide)
thingiverse
Printed at 210 degrees Fahrenheit with 55-degree bed temperature. Opt for 20% infill, or experiment with lower settings if your printer's bed adhesion is a concern; I suggest adding a brim to the main body for added stability. To conserve filament and offer versatility in design, I separated the top portion from the rest of the hide. This design allows you to place holes on either the top or sides, depending on whether you're housing a terrestrial or arboreal tarantula. As an arboreal species myself - specifically a Pink-toe tarantula - I found it essential to include a hole at the top of the hide; my pet refused to reenter without it. For secure attachment, I've included mounting points for suction cups using M3 bolts and nuts on both tops and sides. Initially, I was concerned about the wood half-log from Petco emitting a moldy odor due to its humidity requirements. However, I believe the PLA material should help mitigate this issue to some extent.
