Just experimenting with the heatsink's design. Cutting modifications on the model one will improve airflow and increase its cooling surface area. This free tweak should make it work better, but it doesn't enhance its looks after the hack saw modification =). Alternative approach: Simply drill 6mm or .25in holes into the structure for a more streamlined performance.
