I've created several gimbal thumbsticks available on Thingiverse, but none have met my expectations, so I decided to design my own from scratch. My primary concern was how securely they fit under my thumbs, and I sought a solution to enhance this aspect. The answer I came up with was to manufacture the thumbsticks as a two-part composite piece, allowing the stick base to be made of PLA while the thumb pad could be crafted from a softer, more grippy material like TPE, which I then glued together. To further optimize the design, I created four distinct grip patterns to test their effectiveness and determine which one worked best.
