I shortened switch covers that had been previously shortened. To accomplish this, I utilized a cutoff wheel attached to a Dremel tool. Printing these parts in TPU proved effective. A deep battery cover was designed for a friend who replaced the original NiMH battery with a LiPo battery that was slightly taller. I have also included an exact replica of the original design. The best printing material for this part is PETG. Menu switches were my first attempt at creating functional parts, and they worked well enough to prevent me from needing to open up my radio again to make further improvements. If memory serves me correctly, I used a small piece of 3M foam tape between the short post and the circuit board to facilitate pivoting motion. The larger post should rest on top of the switches. Suitable printing materials for these parts include PETG, PLA, ABS, and other similar options.
