Making it easy to tap and make holes for the key when building out of 3030 and 3060 extrusions.

It uses a 608ZZ bearing on the tap part and a 626ZZ for driling holes. This way the drill does not drill into the jig.

I used a "Völkel M8 Fluteless machine tap". This is a roll tap that doesn't cut but form the material. I couldn't get a normal cutting tap to work on Misumi extrusions.

I used M8x20 screws with 5mm hex key. The holes are therefore 6mm but I had to enlarge them later to 7mm because of missalignment when using the drill.

I used a HSS drill to drill the holes.

Don't forget to use lots of cutting oil!

Fusion 360 files included for you to modify.

Print Settings

Resolution: 0.15

Filament: Cheapest noname PLA

Notes:
No supports except for on side holes for "DrillJig Middle".
Printed with 5 walls 0.4 nozzle and 6 top/bottom 0.15 LayerHeight.
