The fan is secured to the shroud with two #2 x 0.5" plastite screws. The shroud itself attaches to the ends of the M3 thumb screws using additional #2 x 0.5" plastite screws as pinch bolts. Trimming excess length from the M3 thumb screws can help clear a smoother path for air internally, though it's not strictly required.
