Tapered Pocket Coin-Op
thingiverse
To enhance the Pocket Coin-op's appearance, consider tapered edges that also make it lighter and faster to print. Adjustable thickness, coin size, and taper can be modified through the provided scad file. However, other variables are left untested by the designer. For those coveting dual-extrusion parts, a three-color bottle opener is now possible with a Thingomatic. Firstly, print taperedopener.stl or taperedopener-M.stl for single color printing. To create a three-colored version, note down the layers and Z-Layer thickness of the first print, along with the motherboard's zoffset value in ReplicatorG. Adjust the zoffset by subtracting nlayers*layerthickness, then print taperedopener-color2.stl in a different color, unchecking "Activate Outline." Repeat this process for taperedopener-color3.stl in another color. Finally, return the motherboard settings to their original zoffset and remove the opener to flaunt your creation. Be prepared for admiration of your two-colored counterparts, but show them that three colors are even more impressive! Coin insertion can be done mid-print by pausing or post-printing by sliding a penny into the slot as far as it goes before using pliers to squeeze the remaining space.
