I put together a budget microphone setup for my system and didn't like the vibrations I got from a standard tapered mount. In order to use the tapered mount mic in a 50mm barrel shock mount I needed a spacer. I originally used a bunch of electrical tape but then threw this together in cad. I would suggets putting 2 strips of electrical tape on your microphone to help the mic stay still. Or you can try a flex filament instead.
