Taper pins have been a trusted machinist's secret for decades to ensure precise alignment of parts. In a woodworking book I recently acquired, they utilized taper pins as a solution to create more accurate woodworking jigs. Since I'm lacking in sources for the "special tapered reamer" required, I decided to design this tool allowing me to use the tapered reamer I already possess ($3 from Harbor Freight). If you have that same reamer, you can download the .stl directly. If not, you can go ahead and create your own pin.
