Update: Reconfigured design for 0.9mm gap using V6 files; perfectly fits Stanley tape measure end with only 0.05mm excess. Adjustments made on February 14, 2016 revealed significant error in previous gap measurement; extruder not calibrated properly resulted in excessive gap size. New model files uploaded featuring 1.15mm gap adjustment, suitable for most standard tape measures. This device attaches to the end of a tape measure, enhancing precision when measuring shingled roofs for solar installation professionals like myself who spend hours surveying rooftops daily. The attachment securely friction fits onto the tape measure end and minimizes snagging on shingles while measuring up to the roof ridge. Perfectly adapted for measuring rough surfaces, this device provides an effective solution for those pesky situations where standard tape measure ends catch and falter. Revisions made to slot size have yielded a nearly ideal fit; your results may vary depending on your printer model's specifications. To achieve optimal results, scale the design on the X-axis as needed if you find it not fitting perfectly on your tape measure.
