Tape Measure Box
thingiverse
I scoured my workspace for a decent Box for my Tape-Measures. I couldn't find one that suited me, so I opted to craft one myself. I designed STL files for 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, and 20mm tape measures as well as a parametric OpenSCAD file, allowing you to easily adjust the width for alternative tape measures. To assemble it, you'll need two printed parts, a tape measure, a toothpick, and an M3x10 screw. Firstly, pop out the Support for the Screw-Hole and remove the Metal-Clip on one side of the tape measure. Insert the tape measure as depicted in the pictures, press the toothpick into the hole to secure it, and trim the toothpick flush with the surface. Next, wind up the tape measure, position the box over it (ensuring the end of the tape measure passes through the slit), and drive the screw home. No need to tap threads beforehand; simply jam the screw in and tighten it to your satisfaction.
With this file you will be able to print Tape Measure Box with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Tape Measure Box.
