Tape Dispenser - one piece
thingiverse
Create your own tape dispenser with this design! This printable model fits standard rolls of Scotch tape and features printed spring clips to securely hold the tape and teeth that easily cut it. Simply print, insert tape, and use. Note that layer heights other than 0.2mm may be required for optimal results. Ensure your printer is set to high enough temperatures to fuse layers well, preventing spring clip breakage. Clean up spring clips and sand the ledge before the teeth for better tape adherence. PLA or ABS can be used; PLA is stiffer but more brittle, potentially causing spring clip issues. This design is a derivative of Jag's tape dispenser, with thanks to their teeth shape contribution. To achieve a working tape dispenser, ensure the ledge holding the tape before the teeth is elevated enough for seamless cutting without needing an extra hand. Explore FreeCAD as your 3D modeling tool; its constrained 2D sketching and boolean operations capabilities make complex designs easy to create. Consider using a mix of FreeCAD and OpenSCAD for future projects based on their requirements. Happy printing and taping!
