Your son loves using scotch tape and desired a dispenser as refills didn't fit his old one. He appreciates an item with some level of customization, but it hasn't been tested with various settings yet. The design is based on syvwlch's thread library (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8793), so make sure to download that before using the STL file. Two versions are available - one with a slot for a metal blade from plastic wrap containers, which can be replaced with a redesigned plastic version. It may not cut as cleanly but works well. If you choose the blade-slot model, insert the blade and secure it by bending it away from the roll. For self-compilers, remember to download the thread library (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8793) and adjust the scad code accordingly.
