Tape Dispenser

Tape Dispenser

Not everything in the world needs instructions but this old thing might. It was born out of vanity, lost tape dispensers, and a weakness in an existing Thingiverse make, The PLA was too weak for the center supports. So you have 5 files here: 1. Tape dispenser with most of the 3D printable stuff and a good center spool. The spool is not on the platform so that supports can be used to hold up the spool and cap for a better surface finish on threads and outside stuff (I'm not a great 3D printer). Same explanation for the orientation of the body... nice outside finish (including your name if added). 2. tape dispenser without the spool - This is needed by the Openscad file, so you can add ads or your name (in any font you can find for windows!!) to your tape dispenser Yea!! 3. You have a spool without capture for those who live a quiet life, with no tape dislodging problems. 4. &You have a spool with cap for those who prefer a life of turbulence and drawer tosses. 5. And there should be an Openscad script for name application, some fiddling with the translates may be required. A light colored dispenser with dark or deep font and/or back lighting should provide the maximum vanity shot for your Facebook photos :) My only concerns here, 3 and 4 may not be intermixable, thread compatible, And when I trimmed out the prior bad supports, I left a shallow artifact, easily removed in Tinkercad if desired. I was fussing with thread diameter and didn't pay close attention to build number or diameters, so, easy to fix with any cad program by adjusting x and y sizes (e.g. Tinkercad)..I haven't tried it yet, but instead of just embossed, with a filament change just before the text, you should be able to get a nice colored relief that looks pretty good, more like the Openscad preview.
