Tape Dispenser 3" Wide x 3" I.D.

This 3D printable tape dispenser, improved on December 24, 2013, is designed for use with 3-inch wide blue painter's tape. The new version features base parts with holes that clip over the bottom of the side parts for sturdy mounting to a bench. The original design relied on glue to bond the base and side parts together, but this often failed due to the force required to pull tape off the spool. The improved design fixes this issue by having the bases clamp over the horizontal members at the bottom of the sides. A serrated blade, held in place with super glue, is used to cut the tape. Instructions on how to print and assemble the dispenser are provided, along with advice on how to properly tear the tape using a 90-degree twist motion.
