Tapadera para el contenedor de la sal de la cocina. (Cover for the container of the salt of the kitchen)
thingiverse
I got tired of seeing those broken lids on my plastic salt jars. It was cheaper to buy new ones, but I decided to take matters into my own hands and make them myself. To tell the difference between the two, I made one for fine salt and will make another when I change filaments. Doing it in flexible material would have been ideal, but during my test run I forgot to remove the retraction, which is crucial, and just as I was finishing up the first layer, the material stopped coming out altogether. The filament got tangled up in the extruder motor, making a mess of things. Despite what they say about not using flexible with bowden extruders, CONTROL 3D advises that it's actually easier to unclog these types of extruders. I pressed the clip on my extruder and gave the filament a good tug - sure enough, it came loose easily and the filament started flowing again. I'll have to try this all over again from scratch. The flexible material I'm using is SmartMaterials, which has fewer complications than Recreus. It's just a matter of keeping at it and trying different approaches until I get the results I want.
