I created a set of taps but forgot to buy the tap holder. So I designed the Tap Holder based on Google images and measurements I got from the taps. The BeefyTapHolder is based on Marius Hornberger's design from youtube.com/watch?v=RRdr16loUSg. I couldn't find any coupler nut he used in the video, so I designed something similar. The design is surprisingly sturdy. I was able to successfully tap an aluminum block, wood, and plastic. The Beefier one uses M8 nuts and bolts but in my image I have used some imperial nuts and bolts that I had laying around. If the metric nut is loose, use epoxy to hold it in place. For the smaller Tap Holder to hold M4 nuts, use epoxy. (It's not a press-fit and it's made intentionally big for using epoxy if the nut is not in place the whole thing won't work.) The bigger one uses five nuts: two inside, two outside, and one to keep the bolt in place. It's easier to put the nut inside just use pliers to press it in. The smaller Holder is easy as it has only one nut and the rest is self-explanatory. If you have any query feel free to ask. This is my first project please critique it so I can improve. If you got an idea for a different tool and you can't design hit me up, I will give it a go. P.S: I hate Imperial. Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 Acrylic Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20-40 Notes: For minimalistTapHolderWithRail.stl, I didn't use any support instead I reduced the flow rate to 90% and it came out really well. And I didn't do any post-processing whatsoever. See the image to understand the tolerances if you are not comfortable printing them or your printer is not accurate enough to print tight tolerance, then use minimalistTapHolderWithoutRailBody.stl and minimalistTapHolderWithoutRailHead.stl it works the same but the moving part might fall off when you retract the bolt. Other STLs can be printed normally no special care needed.
