Tap Holder
thingiverse
I needed a compact tap holder for work, specifically for my everyday carry bag. So I designed this one myself using TinkerCAD, incorporating an internal profile that perfectly matches the square end and shaft. This custom holder fits snugly into place, providing a firm grip. As I mentioned in a comment earlier, you wouldn't get much leverage out of this design. However, my specific needs involve working with soft metals like brass, mainly for thread repair rather than creating new threads. This is ideal for tasks such as repairing headboard screws and sofa feet. It's worth noting that if you plan to print this holder, keep in mind the limitations regarding leverage.
