Tap Handles V2
cults3d
Small tap handle designed for square shafts. I frequently use taps with threaded prints and occasionally need to re-cut the threads after printing is complete, which requires minimal effort and can be accomplished by simply holding the tap with your fingers - almost effortlessly. Hence, enter the Tap Handle, a compact alternative to the cumbersome Tap Iron. These handles are created for 2.5 to 6.5mm square shafts. To accommodate a 2.8mm shaft, either opt for a 3mm handle and accept a slight looseness or adjust your slicer's scale settings accordingly. Print with the hole facing upwards. I recommend fine slicer settings for optimal results, but if you're in a rush, it won't significantly impact the outcome. When printing with PLA, I prefer to use slightly hotter temperatures than usual to enhance strength - a setting that works well with various filaments, provided you adjust your settings accordingly.
