I wanted to design a tool for replacing water filter cartridges on bathroom and kitchen faucets. Replacing these filters with metal tools can scratch them and risk over-tightening - A plastic tool is clearly the better choice. I discovered Gombaw's tool on Thingiverse, printed it for testing purposes, and was pleased with its performance. However, I found that the sharp edges made it uncomfortable to use, and I missed a hole in the middle when cleaning it afterwards. Deciding to create my own version for 24mm filters - which is the size I need - seemed like the next logical step.
