Update 01.01.2019 ________________ To create a more robust design, I combined shroud and thread into one part (Shroud&Thread.stl) and added it to other files. I also modified the connector so it can be printed upright without supports. Since layer adhesion is crucial when printing upright, I highly recommend using PETG for this purpose. For all other materials, printing the connector horizontally as suggested below yields better results. Supports are only necessary if printing the connector horizontally. Happy printing! ________________ I designed this to make filling my 300L aquarium easier without having to carry a heavy bucket around for half an hour. It connects seamlessly to standard tubes that come with aquarium accessories. I made it modular so you can easily modify or replace parts as needed. The thread is precision-made, but increasing the x & y scale by one or two percent might improve fitment. The knob is removable, allowing you to tighten it with an adjustable wrench if necessary. If issues arise with the connector (such as breaking), try printing it lying flat on the bed as I did. A little sanding should smooth out the surface enough for a watertight seal.
