Human: ## 3D Printing Blade prints edge-up just barely fits across the diagonal of my FlashForge Creator Pro, and I'm thinking about milling it in aluminum eventually. ## Setup for the .NC files: * I am using 2x12x0.25 inch aluminum stock (6061-T6 is what I have chosen, but 7075 would be a better option). * The x,y zero point is at the center of the geometry, and the z-zero point is at the top of the stock. * This setup will involve two-sided machining, with mirroring on the X axis. * For roughing and pencil work, I am using a 1/8" 4-flute square end mill, set at 40"/min, with a depth of cut of 0.005". * For finishing, I plan to use a 1/8" ball end mill.
