Tantillus (Ultius) top corners w. room for spacers
thingiverse
This is a further remix of my own Tantillus upper Slide-On corners - which is a remix of the original top corners. This version offers room for adding spacers or thrust bearings between the XY rod bearings and GT2 pulleys, helping to keep rods and the entire XY structure in place. Like the Ultimaker, this design makes it easier to accommodate wires for front-mounted LEDs. Although I ended up routing wires over the rod, you can save material and time by printing. BOM: Print in ABS if using a heated chamber or printing very hot materials like Polycarbonate. You can print the spacers, but I recommend using something slippery for them. 5mm ABS spacers (bought) worked well for me, and I also tested using 5mm thrust-bearings with good results. Additionally, you'll need 0.8mm normal spacer/shim with an 8mm center hole and a 16 outer diameter. Recommendations: Check out my Tantillus Compact Ultimaker Slider Adapters and also consider looking at my Tantillus (Ultius) lead-screw Z-axis - complete. Print Settings: Printer: Jenny Printer Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2-0.25 Infill: 40% Notes: It doesn't require much, but I ended up printing mine at 100% ABS for greater heat-resistance (more mass, longer warm-up time). Print one and verify it can fit on your machine before starting a complete job for all four pieces as they take a while to print. You might need to make some adjustments. The front left corner has minor polygon errors I couldn't fix, but these should not appear in the printed part. I edited the STL files in Tinkercad.com as always.
