The tankard boasts an intricately carved Burwood body, topped with a hinged lid and handle supported by four sturdy feet. A striking pattern of vertical incisions adorns the exterior, punctuated by a row of dentate motifs that add depth and visual interest. Atop the lid, a centrally raised decoration features a majestic lion, likely symbolizing the regal lion of Norway, surrounded by a border of parallel incised lines. The lid's thumb lift takes the shape of a seated lion, while a rosette adorns the outside of the hinge pin above the handle. A block of plant material is nestled within the tankard.
