Holder for Airbrushing or Hand Painting Wheels for 1:35 Scale Armored Vehicles. Instead of inserting multiple wooden sticks into a block of foam, I decided to design and print a stand that will securely hold the wheels so they can be painted efficiently. The OpenSCAD file can be customized according to individual needs: pinBottom = slightly larger than the diameter of your wheel hub. This keeps the wheel suspended above the base plate. pinTop = slightly smaller than the diameter of your wheel hub. This allows the wheel to slide partially down the pin. wheel = outer diameter of the wheel. buffer = extra space between wheels for easier handling and organization. row = number of rows to print, depending on the project requirements. col = number of columns to print, tailored to the specific needs of each project. apron = extra space around the perimeter of the base plate so that the pins are not right on the edge. This design worked perfectly with my 1:35 scale Tank model, but you can easily customize the file to suit your projects and needs.
