The Type 97 Chi-Ha, a medium Japanese tank used in the Second Sino-Japanese War, Khalkhin Gol battles, and WWII, was the most widely produced Japanese medium tank of the war. Its 57 mm main gun from the 1933 Type 89 medium tank had infantry support purposes, while its six-road wheel suspension was derived from the Type 95 Ha-Go light tank. Powered by a 170 hp Mitsubishi diesel engine, it boasted a low silhouette and semicircular turret antenna that distinguished it from contemporaries. However, after 1941, its effectiveness decreased in comparison to Allied tank designs. A new version, the Type 97-Kai or Shinhoto Chi-Ha, was produced with a three-man turret and high-velocity Type 1 47 mm gun. The 3D model is rendered using Vray in 3ds Max 2016, with options for alternative renderings and export formats.
