The treads should be small to ensure smooth movement, but durability is a concern due to limited plastic availability. Hole size is 1mm and solid core wire connects the links. A wire-free or screw-less link design is desired, as well as incorporating a captive nut for set screw on the 5mm shaft wheel prototype.
