This is a remix of the file "track_V1" specifically designed for Staind's RC Tank. The goal was to incorporate rubber pads into the tracks without having to precisely cut and glue them on accurately. Rather than invest time in cutting and gluing multiple rubber pads, I opted for an easier solution - adding a spherical groove to the bottom of each track where pieces of rubber string can be glued securely. This approach streamlines the process, requiring only one simple cut per track. The rubber used is NBR with a Shore hardness of 70°, ensuring it's resistant to wear and tear while providing excellent traction on smooth surfaces. I've created two versions: one for 3 mm diameter rubber and another for 4 mm. While both work well, I personally prefer the 4 mm version as it gives the track an extra edge when grabbing onto objects. Assembly is straightforward: - Print the track - Cut a length of 46.5 mm from the rubber - Glue the rubber into the groove using super glue Update 2017-08-02: To further simplify the process, I've designed a cutting aid that speeds up cutting the rubber pieces. Simply place the end of the rubber band inside the groove and run your knife blade along the outer edge of the cutting aid. This will give you a perfectly sized piece of rubber without needing to measure or think twice.
