Tank Tracks Desktop Toy

Desktop Toy / Test Rig for the tracks I designed for my RC tank project... I'm still far from finishing the tank, but this test rig helps me verify my tank tracks design. The two square recesses on the flat part of the link are perfect for adding rubber pads or filling with silicone caulk to get traction on smooth surfaces. Links are connected using cut lengths of standard 1/75mm filament. Be cautious when installing and trimming the filament, because once it's done, the links become extremely difficult to separate without damaging them. V1 Frame was not suitable for sharing, I admit it. V2 Frame lacks a base. V3 Frame has a base, making it a fun desktop toy. Bogey Wheels are designed with a 608 "skateboard" bearing installed in the middle. Some M8 Washers would be helpful to install between the wheels and the frame, but I didn't have any. Fortunately, it still works fine without them.
