The tank tracks appear suitable for sand and snow, measuring approximately 12-18 inches long and at least 6 inches wide, with the ability to handle rough terrain and weight. Upon completion of the project, the performance will be confirmed in sand. Tracks are currently finished; however, motors need to be matched correctly. If starting over, idlers would be omitted for a simpler design. Testing has shown that the tracks can withstand spinning at full speed without issues, requiring skateboard bearings (10 ideal) and using 5/16" threaded rod. Print multiple links at once, and drill or melt side holes on track-links. Paperclips are used as bolts, with 32 links per track suggested. Each link consumes about 1.25 meters of plastic (depending on infill settings). Users testing the tracks in sand are encouraged to share their results.
