The T-90, a third-generation Russian battle tank operational since 1993, is an advanced upgrade of the T-72B, incorporating elements from the T-80U. Initially named T-72BU and later rebranded as T-90, it serves the Russian Ground Forces and Naval Infantry. Armed with a 125mm 2A46 smoothbore main gun, 1A45T fire-control system, upgraded engine, and gunner's thermal sight, it features steel and composite armor, smoke grenade dischargers, Kontakt-5 explosive-reactive armor, and the Shtora infrared ATGM jamming system for protection.
