The Soviet Vray Tank Object 279 is a one-of-a-kind experimental heavy tank developed in late 1959. At the Kirov Plant in Leningrad, a team led by engineer L. Troyanov designed and built this massive vehicle. The project began in 1957, based on operational requirements for heavy tanks drafted in 1956, with a pre-production model completed at the end of 1959. This tank boasts superior cross-country capabilities thanks to its innovative four-track running gear mounted on two longitudinal, rectangular hollow beams that serve as fuel tanks. The hydro-pneumatic suspension system features a complex hydrotransformer and three-speed planetary gearbox, while the worm-type track adjuster ensures precise control. With a ground pressure of just 0.6 kg/cm2, this heavy vehicle can traverse swampy terrain, soft soils, and areas littered with obstacles like Czech hedgehogs and antitank barriers with ease. The tank is powered by a robust 1000 hp 2DG-8M diesel engine, enabling it to reach speeds of up to 55 km/h while maintaining an active range of 300 km on a single refueling. It also features advanced auto fire-fighting systems, smoke laying equipment, and a combat compartment heating and cooling system. The 3D model of the Soviet Vray Tank Object 279 is built in 3ds Max 2016 and rendered using Vray. To generate an image, simply press the Rendering button. Two versions are available: a native file for 3ds Max 2016 with Vray 3.6, and an FBX/obj preset export from 3ds Max 2016 that includes all materials. The model comes with high-resolution textures in PNG format (4096 x 4096, 2048 x 2048, and 1024 x 1024) stored in the 3ds Max folder. The model is organized into layers and groups for easy management of individual parts. A polygonal Ngon is used to create a smooth, realistic surface. Note: The background image is not included. This product is priced at $299.00 and was added on December 6, 2018. It has been updated since April 24, 2019, with the product ID 5c0901fb700ae098518b4567.
