Tank Object 279 was a Soviet experimental heavy tank designed at the end of 1959 by a team led by engineer L. Troyanov at the Kirov Plant in Leningrad. The development process began in 1957, based on operational requirements for heavy tanks developed in 1956. By the end of 1959, a pre-production model was completed, showcasing enhanced cross-country capabilities. A unique feature of this tank was its four-track running gear mounted on two longitudinal, rectangular hollow beams that also served as fuel tanks. The hydro-pneumatic suspension system included a complex hydrotransformer and three-speed planetary gearbox, while the track adjuster was worm-type. This heavy vehicle's ground pressure did not exceed 0.6 kg/cm2, enabling it to traverse swampy terrain, soft soils, and areas with obstacles like Czech hedgehogs and antitank defenses. The tank was equipped with a powerful 1000 hp 2DG-8M diesel engine, allowing the 60 metric ton vehicle to reach speeds of up to 55 km/h. Its active range on one refuel was approximately 300 km. The tank also featured an auto fire-fighting system, smoke laying equipment, and a combat compartment heating and cooling system. A 3D model of this tank was created using 3ds max 2016 software and rendered with mental ray. To generate the image, simply press the rendering button. This 3D model is available in three formats: native file for 3ds max 2016 (mental ray 3.13), exported as fbx or obj from 3ds max 2016, all of which include materials. The texture files are provided in PNG format with resolutions of 4096 x 4096, 2048 x 2048, and 1024 x 1024, located within the 3ds max folder. The model is organized into layers and groups for easy management of its various components. Polygone mesh technology was used to create this model.
