Tank Object 279 was a pioneering Soviet heavy tank engineered in late 1959 by a visionary team led by engineer L. Troyanov at the renowned Kirov Plant in Leningrad. Construction of the massive tank began in 1957, inspired by stringent operational requirements drafted in 1956. A prototype model was successfully completed towards the end of 1959. This innovative tank boasts remarkable cross-country maneuverability thanks to its sophisticated four-track running gear, expertly mounted on two sturdy longitudinal beams that double as substantial fuel tanks. The advanced hydro-pneumatic suspension system features an intricate complex hydrotransformer and three-speed planetary gearbox, ensuring a silky-smooth ride even on treacherous terrain. The state-of-the-art worm-type track adjuster further enhances the tank's ground pressure management, maintaining an impressively low pressure of 0.6 kg/cm2. By enabling the tank's wheels to span the entire track length, designers have significantly increased its cross-country capabilities on soggy swamps, loose soils, and hazardous environments filled with razor wire obstacles, Czech hedgehogs, antitank defenses, and more. Under the hood lies a behemoth of an engine: the mighty 1000 hp 2DG-8M diesel powerplant. This potent powerhouse enables the gargantuan 60 metric ton tank to effortlessly reach blistering speeds of 55 km/h while boasting an impressive range of 300 km per single refuel. Additionally, the Tank Object 279 is equipped with top-of-the-line auto firefighting systems, advanced smoke deployment equipment, and an elaborate combat compartment heating and cooling system. A high-fidelity 3D model was created in Autodesk 3ds Max 2016 using photorealistic rendering in mental ray for a truly immersive experience. A selection of render modes is available: 1. Native file rendered natively within 3ds max 2016 2. FBX and OBJ formats exported with all materials intact 3. Scanning version of the scene utilizing mental ray in Autodesk 3ds Max 2016 Conveniently organized layers and groups facilitate efficient management and disassembly of individual model components. This sophisticated 3D model utilizes advanced polygonal mesh technology to ensure photorealistic results. Please note: The included background image is a separate entity.
