The ISU-122, a heavy self-propelled gun, was developed at Chelyabinsk Kirov Plant (ChKZ) and built in December 1943. It shared its chassis with the ISU-152 but featured an A-19S 122mm gun instead of an ML-20S gun-howitzer. The ISU-122 prototype, codenamed 'Object 242,' was successfully tested but not immediately launched into mass production. However, due to a lack of ML-20S tubes in early 1944 and the need for increased direct fire range against heavy German tanks, uncompleted ISU hulls were armed with an A-19 gun. Consequently, the State Defense Committee adopted Object 242 as the ISU-122 for Red Army service on March 12, 1944, and production began in April 1944 at ChKZ. The 3D model of this vehicle is available in various render modes, with export options in FBX and OBJ formats from 3ds Max 2016. Additionally, the turret can be animated to suit specific positions, and the model uses polygonal Ngons for better management of individual parts. The model also includes a version compatible with Mental Ray 3.13 in 3ds Max 2016 with Arch & Design Materials, as well as a Scanline rendering option within 3ds Max 2016.
