A tank from my imagination...Heavy Tank Destroyer (CDCL "Chasseur De Char Lourd" in french) "SKARAB", here with a 150mm barrel.Heavy armored hexapod equipped with a 150mm gun. This heavy and slow unit is almost only used for area defense. Very vulnerable despite its aggressive and robust appearance, it cannot fight without significant support from the close defense and anti-aircraft unit, a bypass being fatal to it. Although its frontal armor is able to stop the worst existing threats, its sides and rear offer only limited protection, mainly against intermediate calibers (from 12 to 50mm).In its chosen field, no target located between 15 and 1 km from its main armament can escape it. Its ammunition, a 40 x 1100 mm tungsten arrow projected at 2000m/s, is capable of perforating 1500 mm of rolled homogeneous steel at 9000 meters with an accuracy of 60 cm.For close frontal defense, it has a quadruple 30mm cannon. In the event of an air attack, it can count on a double Aster missile launcher tube, mounted on its rear shelf. These latter sets only serve as a last resort, should his ultimate defense bubble ever need to be penetrated.Its payload capacity is limited to 20 arrow shells, placed in an autoloader, which allows it to fire every 5 seconds. Its piloting as well as the handling of its 150mm require a perfectly trained and seasoned crew, which very often comes from an already veteran unit.The choice of legs rather than tracks is explained by the increased crossing capabilities of this technology.
